API keys
Create a Cortex API key so AI tools can use the hosted MCP server.
API keys let Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other tools act as this workspace through the MCP server. Open Settings → API Keys & MCP.
Only owners and admins can create keys. Other members see that an owner or admin can create a key.
Create a key
- Select Create key.
- In Create API key, name it after the client or machine that will use it.
- Copy the key from Copy your new key. This is the only time the key is shown.
Create one key per tool so you can revoke each independently. Revoke a key from the same page; MCP clients using it stop working immediately.
